Solutions
for urban planning

Urban planning is a real challenge for all cities. Space applications can be used for example to detect heat islands, evaluate the impact of new buildings on the local climate, or track the evolution in terms of climate change resilience or it can be used by elected officials to develop their climate plan. Its solutions are designed for local authorities, real estate companies, and insurance companies, among others.

MY CLIMATE

MY CLIMATE is a platform that enables to visualize the UCIX (Urban Climate IndeX) of any point on the globe. This indicator is used to evaluate the exposure to climate risks of a city, neighbourhood, or even a building. This indicator based on proprietary algorithms and data from different space programs such as Copernicus is an easy to use and understand climate reference point. It takes into account climate and extra-climate evolutions. The aims are to characterize and anticipate physical climate phenomena such as urban heat islands, floods, air pollution, and soil drought, among other issues, at the urban-micro scale, the adaptation of cities and territories to climate change and the mobilization of all activity sectors that contribute to the development of urban zones. It can be used in many public and private fields: urban planning, real-estate, finance, building and the insurance sector, among others.

Urban Climate IndeX

URBAN SIMULATION

The URBAN SIMULATION tool is designed to assess the climate impact of a project in a city with the aim of defining the best urban planning scheme of the city or for a specific neighbourhood. Its modelling capabilities make it possible to envisage different scenarios, to test physical variables to identify the best climate performance in terms of adapting to future public health or wellbeing risks.

BRIX

The BRIX tool (Building Resilience IndeX) enables to assess a building’s climate change resilience capability. Calculated nearly automatically thanks to combined use of space imagery and artificial intelligence, BRIX contributes to the performance of real-estate assets known to be exposed to climate risks.

BRIX helps better prepare building experts for their auditing missions and in particular to develop climate change adaptation programs. This service is designed for both public authorities and the private sector.

URBAN BOTANIX

The URBAN BOTANIX tool enables to:

  • Identify urban spaces appropriate for planting trees,
  • Define accurate mapping at the scale of the city of greening programs,
  • To choose plants that are the best adapted to the geographic situation and climate challenges
